[2010 CRUISE] | [ HOME ] | [ CRUISE HOME ] We docked at Reykjavik, the world's northernmost capital city and home to 170,000 of Iceland's 266,000 people. Tourism is a big industry since the financial collapse and most people come to Iceland for its glaciers, waterfalls, geysers and mountains. Of course, everyone has heard about the erruption of their volcano (that no one can pronounce). We did a bus tour of the countryside and finished with a horse show of their wonderful Icelandic horses. This is a beautiful country and I would love to go back.
The Icelandic Horse is beautiful. They keep their bloodlines pure and no other horse breed is allowed on the island. If a horse it taken to another country, it can't return. We took hundreds of pictures of the show but I only included about half in this video. Click here for the video.
